Dressing-up doesn't seem to tire much around here. It definitely goes in phases but it has held strong over the years. The only difference that I can see is the subjects are getting older and the newer addition is male. How fun to be able to change your personality and who you are all with a change of clothing.

3's a crowd
The blossoms were beautiful that day. I wanted to capture the moment and thought it would be nice to have the kids in the picture...despite them. First of all, Carter didn't want to have anything to do with the picture. Second, the girls had an odd assortment of clothing styles and colors which to me didn't necessarily shout out "beautiful" but then again, maybe it would complement the beauty of the flowers. What was a nice idea to start with turned exclusive in a few seconds. The "video" is a compilation of stills that I took showing the ugly scene unfold.

Blossom Trail
On Sunday we took a nice drive looking at all the blossoms. There's an official Blossom Trail route that we drove. Amongst all the beautiful flowering orchards everywhere we encountered a few other cars blazing the trails. One common denominator we found with all the vehicles was the color of hair of the occupants. Gray. Salt-and-pepper. A crown of wisdom. Whatever you want to call it, they were older than us. Although, Blake is graying a bit so maybe we fit right in.

Man of God
"Dear God, please bless this boy. Grow him into a man of God. I pray you would put a hedge of protection around his heart and soul. Protect him from the sins of this world."
Glamour Shot
"Ahhh...moviestars", that's what they were saying when they took this picture. Who needs Glamour Shots?
Through Children's Eyes
I must say that I can learn a lot if I look through my children's eyes (eventhough Carter's eyes are actually closed). I wanted to take a picture of them. They met this girl in the park. They just enfolded her immediately and played with her and included her in on the family picture too. I wanted a picture of "just my kids" but afterwards I thought about it and realized they're doing what I tell them to do everyday when I send them off to school, "Be kind to EVERYONE". Hooray for them!
Culinary Delight
We were blessed by my parents with the afternoon and evening off. We went to a free wine tasting and free chocolate extravaganza. All we had to provide was our own wine glass. Then we went to dinner. Yummo!
Tuckered out
Probably not the cleanest place to lay down since I believe that's where people put their shoes while they bowl but beggers can't be choosers.
Bowling
We went bowling on one of our days off. The kids really had a fun time. I thought Kenna was going to break the bumpers the way she was throwing the ball into the lane. Carter continually informed Blake that he didn't need any help bowling with index finger pointing at him in an accusatory manner. Avery's didn't quite make it down the lane once. Jacie tried helping her siblings. Blake and I bowled the way we usually do, I started out hot and fizzled out and Blake made a slow and steady climb out of the mire.
j two front teeth
It's been awhile since I've posted anything. Two front teeth have been missing for awhile. The tooth fairy was preoccupied this month too because she forgot to stop by one night. Oops!

skates
Everything was out yesterday. Skates, hula hoop, bikes, scooters...it's been absolutely beautiful here. I love this time of year with all the clouds floating through the sky and the kids are enjoying the weather. We're outdoors a lot during this time.
