Farmer's Market

I love the L.A. Farmer's Market. There is so much to look at. It's a culinary dream. You want fresh meat, fresh baked goods, need a hair cut? If you're hungry, there are so many places to choose from to eat. Anything from tapas to gumbo can be consumed. There's even a fun gourmet shop here too. I've only perused their aisles. Unless you want to spend $43 on truffle-accented sea salt from the remotest part of the Mediterranean Sea, it's still very fun to dream up dishes in my head.

Indoor Track

Calvin rocks! I can't believe all they've done to the campus since I've left. We got to see the new gym and several new buildings, as well as the bookstore to purchase some Calvin gear for the kiddos.

wedding

Our world travels this summer brought us to Michigan and Chicago as well. Whew! What a busy summer! We were priviledged to attend and witness a beautiful union of my best friend and her husband. What an honor that was. They did such a wonderful job of making sure it was Christ-centered throughout the ceremony. There were so many really neat ideas coming to fruition that night. This will not be the last picture you see of this evening.

This is a picture of Kenny-Cat watching the high-wire act at the circus.

hiking

We attempted to go hiking the 4th of July. We're almost to the age to be able to do that. The C-dawg wanted to be held a bit so we either need to toughen him up a bit or wait a little longer until he's older or go when it's not so hot. . . or a little of all three. It was quite the natural experience. We were lucky to have seen a deer, some mosquitos, a rattle snake, some mosquitos, and a wonderful, refreshing 'swimming hole.'
