We saw this guy (or gal) on our walk yesterday. Actually, we saw two of them. They were hanging around together.

Kenny-Cat

 
Kenny-Cat had a fun weekend. She got to spend the night at her friend's house. From there she and her friend went to a birthday party where they got to bounce around. Then that evening she and I went to buy her reward for not sucking her fingers for 2 weeks now. We had a lot of fun together on the ride to and from the store. She introduced me to a game called "Piggle." Piggle involves rhyming words together.

This picture was taken on our family "hike" today at a preserve. Our family had lots of fun walking around. We got to see a couple jack rabbits, livestock and lots of cow "plops" as Avery calls it.

Valentine's Lunch

 
The C-dawg and I brought lunch for the girls for Valentine's Day. Friday we had lunch with Avery. It's been a full week of being at school. We were also able to do lunch duty one day too. Carter liked playing soccer with a 1st grader and Avery had fun playing on the playground.

This is Blake's 3rd year of this fun class assignment. The students are suppose to write in the voice of their parents excusing them from handing in their homework on time. He grades their writing, the medium on which it's written and the delivery, among other things. It's always a fun time in our house for this assignment. Our kids are on the lookout all day for the shenanigans of Blake's students. Some of the things delivered this year, and in no particular order, were a tire, toilet seat, calf milk bottle, an animal of the feline persuasion (which we returned, much to the children's chagrin), and what you see pictured here, a backpack delivered by helicopter.

Fun Guy vs. fungi

 
The C-dawg and I went on a hiking trip Friday. We were so excited to have a day with just the two of us. Often after we drop the kiddos and daddy off at school he says something like, "It's just you and me mommy." We had to pack for our "big" hike. We don't like to go hungry. We got some cappuccino made, packed a granola bar and some graham crackers and we were on our way. There's an oak preserve that our family likes to frequent while the weather is nice. Along the trails are numbers which probably indicate a point of interest but we've never figured out what they are suggesting we pause for. The kids just like to find the numbers along the path. Carter was rather impatient of all my picture taking but I managed to get a few. He humors me for awhile and then he just wants to run around. We had a great morning together.

Snowflake

 
A couple weeks ago we had a Snowflake breakfast at our church. We had a yummy breakfast and a few crafts to do. One of the crafts involved forming grated soap with some water into a "snowball." Inside the children got to put a special little toy inside so after many uses of the soap ball they will discover their toy.
